Mike, Greg, and all, I'll let Dave speak to the specifics about Caiman (the installation strategy), but I can say that there's a lot happening on the install front inside Sun. Caiman is absolutely a priority within Sun, and we have every expectation of improving the state of affairs in Solaris Install. Development on Caiman will be done here on opensolaris.org, by the way, so you'll be able to participate if you want. We're also working on getting the rest of the Install consolidation code out onto OpenSolaris. We don't have a schedule yet, but we're planning on getting that done by the end of the calendar year and hopefully sooner. Mike, what thoughts had you had on Solaris installation? Getting the ideas and thoughts in the open would be great. Eric -- Eric J. Ray Software Engineering Manager Solaris Install, OPG Sun Microsystems 303-223-7843 (direct)/x81067 eric.ray at sun.com
