At times like these, I like to simplify the problem. Can you connect a probe directly to an Intermapper server with no intervening devices or other traffic? Perhaps the problem is with the temperature probe's SNMP stack? I know some early APC SNMP environmental probes (the MeasureUPS) would die if pinged or queired too frequently.

So it _is_ timing out, apparently, which means the command did not complete in the alloted time and no response code was received. As you know, you can increase the timeout for the probe. I'm seem to recall you saying that it didn't help when you tried it before, though?
