I must confess to being surprised by this broad support. I have always felt uncomfortable doing demonstrations and having to type the community string in full public view...
I propose that InterMapper continue to display the bullets/asterisks when typing or viewing the community string field as it does in 4.1.2b6. However, we'd add the ability to Control/Right-click on that field to display the community string (briefly).
