Hi Patrick,

When the database starts, a file called 'postmaster.pid' should show up in the database folder. If that file exists, and has a last-modified date matching when you started up, then that's the folder it's writing to.

You cannot remove the dwf folder, but you can get rid of the old dwf/config/database, once the move is complete and it's writing to the folder on the new drive.

Your retention policy really depends on what your queries are doing. Are they using the raw data from the datapoint table, or just the x-minute/hourly/daily samples from the datasample tables?
