Yes. I want to be more inviting to those working on emerging platforms.

Reasonable people should be able to use hg on some projects and git on others
without a great deal of trauma. I prefer hg because it has better multiplatform 
support and documentation.

HG is more attractive to windows developers who can spend time working on these 
VS issues.

I’d love to do that but it is a separate effort.

Once again, for people who want to develop their own largish changesets to
ioquake3 on platforms like windows, mac, and linux there is no easier tool for 
all three than hg.
