Thanks Rick,

The clients are behind a standard router. I do have blackice server
installed on the server side and opened 5177. New to this also, so not
sure what all to do yet. Just joined the group and didn't find this list
Archived yet (page not found). Still testing...

I'm new at the IM as well so excuse my lack of insight into the IM.  I
have read a thread where there are actually two ports that need to be
opened ie: 5177 & 5178.  I know the help file just mentions 5177 but
maybe the 5178 is a spur port needed to maintain noop checks, etc.  So
if you have any routers, client side software firewalls, server side
ACL's etc. you'll need to ensure that these ports are open.  I hope
IPSwitch has added safeguards to these ports, ie: auto deny possible
hack attacks, buffer over run exploits, etc..
