I wouldn't say young people NEVER listen to radio....they certainly listen to
FM. After all, young people like their modern pop music....Ariana Grande,
Justin Bieber, Fetty Wap, Bruno Mars, Meghan Traynor, and the rest. And how
else are they going to discover new artists whose music they'll listen to, then
decide they like it, and then download it? Radio breaks these talents to the
masses, and that's something that hasn't changed over the years, even if Casey
Kasem is no longer here to do the job.

It sounds like they are more interested in shutting down pirates rather than
fixing the issue. The FCC is also repacking the TV dial too. I don't have a lot
of hope for either. One big issue is that the World has changed. Streaming is
getting to be the norm for a lot of listening and viewing. The young people
never listen to the radio, let alone AM. They stream everything they want of
iTunes, You Tube, Netflix, you name it. If the US had coast to coast wifi/cel
phone streaming at a decent price, OTA radio & TV would be dead. But right now
like here streaming in the van is expensive. Verizon has good service here, but
expensive for constant stream via cel towers. AM is plagued by noise. Even some
of it gets into FM.
