Hey Bruno, thanks for committing my first patch to Java iText! Some more patches are following while I iterate through the original Java code to understand more of the inner workings.
Mostly these are no major fixes or changes, rather I'm doing lots of minor cleanups. Especially I'm taking care of JavaDocs and overall codestyle consistency - the one is important for my PHP port, the other is just a useful by-product. These days I thought about applying for Google Summer of Code to more or less finalize the work on the PHP port. I'd need a mentor for GSoC, someone who keeps track of my progress and is ready to support me if I get stuck. In the optimal case this would be someone who knows iText, Java and some PHP. So I'm asking both you and Paulo as well as any other experienced iText contributor, whether you would be ready to help me file an application and support me during GSoC. If my progress is fast enough, it might be even possible to do some integration work with CMS's and other projects, or modularize iText, which both would kickstart adoption in the PHP community.
