That's my intention. A lot changed, though, in the API between the ivtv 
driver proper and the video/audio drivers. So it's a fairly big chunk 
of work.

No. The tag is for the ivtv driver. The video/audio drivers have been 
stable for quite some time now (with the exception of the newer 
cx25840). Once the audio/video drivers are moved to v4l then they are 
promptly removed from ivtv 0.5.0. Once they are all out 0.5.0 is 
released to see how well it compiles on all sorts of different kernel 
versions. And besides I need time to sync 0.4.1 with 0.5.0. And I want 
to take some more time for bug fixing in general. Basically I think it 
is a good idea to try to sync 0.4.1 and 0.5.1, fix bugs and then 
release both versions simultaneously.

It should compile using the v4l repository. That's where the audio/video 
drivers will come from for the 0.5 series.
