I have the exact same results in that "ivtvctl -q0" no longer toggles between good/bad audio. ivtv-tune is also working reliably. However, mythtv is still giving me bad recordings about 10% of the time. Whatever the firmware fix was, I think mythtv is still doing something bad to get tinny audio, even though ivtv utilities are benefiting from the firmware fix.
So far, the tinny audio is only showing up in recorded programs not in live TV as Moasat was experiencing. This could just be by chance, since I can never really predict when the bad audio will get turned on. John, if you can confirm after several myth recordings that you are completely free of the problem, then I should start to suspect my mythtv configuration is causing this.
