(I said I did not want discuss anymore about this, but here I have to...)

If you guys really want to put such a statement in the license, this *must* be
very, very, very specific to programmed chip, etc... NOT anything else !

Ex: with such a license, the "jallib" wrapper, a python script, could be
distribute without any mention to jallib. What if we create binary
executables other than hex file or programmed chip ?

Again, false issue for me: there's always a way to tell where things come
from. If programmed chip is really an issue (as it seems), please, ***be
very specific*** and don't let any other open doors to anything else than
programmed chip.

And hex file *should* reproduce this notice. How ? Put it on a web page, on a
README within a tarball, etc... Think about how people distribute compiled
libraries ? Even binary executables ?

Consider the "ls" executable ("dir" equivalent on windows). Does the "ls" exec
reproduce the license ? No. Does it mention it ? No. Could you distribute it
without mentioning the licence ? No. But if you "man ls" (doc about ls),
you'll see the license. If you want do redistribute "ls", you must put the
license with it.

So, for me, "Redistributions in binary form must reproduce the above copyright
notice" does *not* mean the *binary form itself* has to reproduce the
copyright notice. No. This the *redistribution* which have to (file in a zip,
link on a web page or bill).

Yep, for me, again, false issue... And again, if there's an exception for
programmed chips, it must be stated as an exception in the license ("except
programmed chip", and not "all binaries which cannot reproduce the license
don't have to").

Cheers,
Seb
