Is there some KDE (or other) window manager that is known to work better?
There are some testprograms with these bugreports. If modified to print
the size of the created frames they return very funny values.
http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/bugParade/bugs/4378450.html
http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/bugParade/bugs/4383332.html
(both the sun and blackdown versions have this/these problem(s))
If someone could test these and name the window manager (& version) that
never reports sizes of 1960x1234 for a window that really is 100x100 I'd
be most interested. It's driving me nuts.
(No, I can't fix Java but it should be possible to hack fvwm2 to do
whatever workarounds necessary ... assuming the latest beta fvwm2 doesn't
fix this.)
