Typically the problem is not with Jav3D or the operating system at all. When
you get these problems, it is because the resolution of the projector is
less than the desktop you are using. Eg, your laptop is at 1024x768 and the
projector only can do 800x600. You end up loosing the lines due to the image
having to be scaled down.

To solve this, make sure that the desktop display and the projector are using
exactly the same resolution. Present the J3D at fullscreen resolution and
then if problems still persist, use high-contrast colours. If you need the
high-contrast colour scheme as well as the normal scheme (say switching
between solid and wireframe) the make use of the AlternateAppearance colour
and switch between the two as needed.
