Does this mean the Blender fileformat switched to XML or is it still a proprietary (and totally undocumented) format and only your add-on allowes it in save in XML?
I'd really be interested in loading Blender files. That wasn't possible until now because there weren't any fileformat specifications. And in my opinion every additional export-tool would be nice but not a good solution if it isn't shipped together with the blender package.

python is the only Blender internal scripting language. Its purpose in the project was to create the xml file from Blender. The xml file is then processed by java with XMLDecoder class which instanciate a Shape3D object
