Blender fileformat hasn't changed at all, and actually i don't have a clue
about how
to read .blend files, but i don't think its necessary, cause the greatest
blender power
resides (IMHO) in its scripting abilities, and in fact there are really a
lot of I/O scripts
out there.
Blend2java is NOT proprietary.
The xml file is the result of new java serialization method ( try to work
with XMLEncode
, look at the xml output and you'll find the same syntax )
So, in the end, take a look at blend2java source (both export.py and java
routines) , it's
Open Source... :)
