Hi Arianna,
Probably plenty of people have run up against the same problem you are
having
unfortunately, they probably aren't memebers of this list. grin
Hope you get it straightened out,

No, I'll have to look into those bulletins and see if there's anything about
this. It seems strange that no one has had to deal with this situation.

Hi Arianna,
I'm sorry, I am not sure what to tell you on that one.
Have you tried the technical service bulletins on the FS website?

I have set the Dec32 as the default, but before I can press my hotkey to
start JAWS i have to press enter on the Load Dec Access32 icon on my
desktop. Once Dec is loaded JAWS will come up using it as the synth. Is
there any way I can put somthing in the .ini file or somewhere to make Dec
load just before JAWS when I hit the hotkey? that is my question.

Thanks for your patience.

Hi Arianna,
I would have to check further, but as far as I know the Access 32 from G W
Micro will not work with Jaws.
If you do get it installed, the best you can do is this:
1. go into the Jaws default configuration manager and then synthesizer
options.
2. if the Deck talk shows up there, then select it as your default, then
close the dialogue, and save your settings when leaving the configuration
manager.
3. re-boot the computer, and see what happens.
If you need more assistance, let us know.
HTH,

Yes, it is the one from GW Micro.

Hi Arianna,
I haven't been following this thread, but is this the software synth?

Subject: [JAWS-Users] DecTalk Access32 as default synthesizer

I asked this question earlier in the week about using DecTalk Access32 as my
default synth. David recommended that I look on the JAWS users site for
setting up a default synth, but that didn't solve my problem.

Dec Access32 needs to be loaded and I need to know how I set this up so that
it will happen automatically when I start JAWS. I hope this is clear enough
for someone to give me an answer. Do I need to put something in the .ini
file or how do I get Dec Access32 to come up as the JAWS synth?
