You can use the JAWS cursor to examine the screen when you are looking
for something that you know is there, but is not apparent when you are
reading with the PC cursor, like an object that you want to click on.
When you find what you are looking for, you can direct the PC cursor to
that object, and activate it by pressing the left mouse key on the
numeric keypad.

Tom,
I can tell you how to switch from the PC to JAWS cursor. With the NUM
LOCK off, hit the minus sign or dash on the number pad, top row key
farthest to the right. JAWS will then say, "JAWS cursor." Given my own
unadventurous use of JAWS, I've never really figured out what switching
to the JAWS cursor is good for, so I also await a meaningful learning
experience.
Cheers! JH

it's necessary to switch from the pc cursor, to the jaws cursor, and how
to use it. can someone tell me when and how please?
