I am saying YES both times and I can change it to 10, 11 and 14, but
not 12 for some strange reason. Makes no sense. Any other way I can
attempt to make this change, even with sighted assistance and a
mouse? I truly need to make this change since my book may be in 12
rather than 14 point font and the formatting must be perfect.

so your saying, after entering on the default button, and saying yes
to save changes, when you completely close word, again, are you
saying
yes to save changes?
if not, this is why it's not changing.

David, I am using Win 7, JAWS 12 and Word 2010. I have only the
option
that is close to what you have, all documents based on the normal
template.
That
is checked and yet it will not change the font to 12, only 10, 11 or
14.
Have no idea why. Do you think there is any other way I can try to
change this permanently, since that method does not work for some
unknown reason??

I have tried every method I know to change the font size in Word

JAWS 12. I need 12-point. It was originally 14 and then when I
changed
it to 12, it now reads 10-point which is not acceptable. I have

to adjust the setting to 14 to try to get it to stick and stop at
12-point. No luck. I cannot figure out how to make this a permanent
template with 12-point font which is becoming maddening.
Any help to resolve this issue will be tremendously appreciated.
