Clearing up my instructions for changing names of desktop icons.
Make sure you are on the icon you wish to change.
1. press f2.
2. Type in the new name which you desire.
3. Press enter.
You are done, your icon will now say what you changed it to.
I hope this clarifies things...

To change the new desktop icon to say google search, do the following.
Press f2, type, google search, press enter.
Now press enter on your new desktop icon called google search, it will open
right into the google search edit field.
I hope this helps everyone to be more effitient with using google search...

Too get google search shortcut, from your desktop to open up in the edit
field, do the following:
1. Go to google.com
2. Arrow down one time from the edit field, which puts you on the google
search button.
3. Press ALT+f
4. Arrow down to send to submenu, press the right arrow one time.
5. Down arrow to short cut to desktop and press enter 6. Now, when you press
enter on this short cut from your desktop, you will be in the search edit
box, just start typing whatever you are looking for and press enter.
