Hi Jim,
This seems to work only if you have forms mode set to auto in Jaws.
Otherwise, the shortcut only opens the page,
and if Jaws and the webpage are playing nicely, the focus is on the edit
box.
In this case, whether you are on the search button or not, has nothing to do
with the shortcut.

1. Go to google.com
2. Arrow down one time from the edit field, which puts you on the google
search button.
3. Press ALT+f
4. Arrow down to send to submenu, press the right arrow one time.
5. Down arrow to short cut to desktop and press enter.
6. Now, when you press enter on this short cut from your desktop, you will
be in the search edit
box, just start typing whatever you are looking for and press enter.
