Carolyn,
When, you locate a mis-spelled word,
Put the cursor on the first letter
Press F7.

Tab once and jaws will speak the mis-spelled word.
Tab again and the correct or similar word will be read.

Use your up/down arrow to move through the different words.

When, you find the one you want- enter.

Then, spacebar to ok, when ask.

Or, escape to go back to your editing.
And get out of more spell checking.
There is lot more options, if you keep tabbing.
