Victor,

Yes, I know about the need for visual support when the Dell comes out of the
box.

Thanks for your encouragement on going with this laptop!

 Annette

Hi Annette,

As was already stated, you should have no problems with the video card on
the laptop.

the fact is that standard laptops come with video cards on-board, and they
are usually configured to work with generalized software.

The graphics accelerator mentioned in the specs is software related, with
possibly an extra chip slid in there for the graphics acceleration. This is
mostly done for gamers and people with high graphics demands.

Don't listen to what that other guy said about not being the model of
choice. That sounds like a great model and the specs are great and to die
for.

The fact that it's free is only icing on the cake.

Victor

P.S.

One thing I should note is that you might need some visual assistance at the
beginning because Dell systems are notorious for being graphics driven right
out of the box.

This has been my experience with Dell systems, which hasn't been much, but
the experience I have had has been bad at the offset.
