There is already a hacked sorting in the URLDeploymentScanner... but it stops at extension comparison. This proposition extends that just a little to give the users more control and more choices (with this, configuration-phobes would not have to modify the config file). Maybe it is not useful to everyone (I'm positive that I will not need this in my current job), but Marc has mentioned that many users did express this as a need.
