||| There it starts again. If people can answer straight on
||| this list it would be really great. Why such convoluted answers?
|||
||| And am sure Alan this is of no interest to anyone asking
||| questions be it on any
||| topic. Its just going to make them think twice before
||| asking a question down the line.

I don't understand the problem here. The experienced list-members (of this
list and others) can always spot when someone wants their coursework done
for them. This is why there has been resistant to answer the question
directly.

Being the first email address in the magazine, does any one appreciate the
volume of emails i get from students asking for help with their coursework?
Around Christmas and Easter time, the volume goes up i guess with the end of
their semester. So what am i suppose to do?

The geniue ones i help of course i do; but the vast majority is sent out of
sheer laziness which to be honest, i really do hope they fail, as the
computer industry doesn't need anymore cowboys that blag their way through
than we are already have.

As for what its like to be developer in the real world ... great question.
And one that i really look forward to the answers from some. I will wade
in later when i have had some time to think about it.

But let me say this, and i am sure i speak for the likes of Jason and Joe;
this is not free consultancy. YES we will help, but we will not do it for
you.

So if it does make people think twice before asking, then i say thats a
great thing. It cuts down on the noise of the list, and means that anything
coming through, has already met the first two criteria of Jason's tip-list;
(1) Read the API, (2) Google Search. They you may find that people
answering your question will go up.

We love to help people that want to learn and help. We don't want to help
blaggers and people that will ride on our success.

There has been some great threads of the past couple of weeks, and i want to
thank you all for contributing.
