Right, I blieve this turned out to be the issue. Eclipse Europa gives the following four choices:
a) Eclipse IDE for Java Developers b) Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers c) Eclipse RCP/Plug-in Developers d) Eclipse Classic Turns out I downloaded a) [since I'm a Java devloper], which doesn't have PDE bundeled. The plugin works fine with c). Suggest to put a description of this into the JessDE FAQ, or get rid of the pde.ui dependency in the jess plugin (if possible).
