I'm not at that computer now, so can't do it. I did try that,
though, and it did not get me to insert.
If the ribbon were minimized, would that perhaps mess it up??? I
didn't find a place that said minimize, but I didn't think to look for it.

That works in 2010. In 2013 I have a message tab, right arrow to a
file button, then a home tab, folder tab ... and *no *stinkin' *insert *tab.
