Thanks for posting this cautionary note. It reminds me to be very, very careful 
when FS's tech service people glibly instruct callers to do this or that to 
their systems. Sometimes the instruction may solve a JAWS problem, but at the 
cost of causing some other disruption. This is why I almost always submit my 
JAWS queries to FS by email rather than call. That way I can evaluate the 
advice without feeling pressured with a live person waiting for me to get on 
with it.

Before cleaning out the Prefetch folder, Google Prefetch and read the 
arguments for and against.  You may find that you don't have access to that 
folder unless you have administrative wrights, which may be the case where 
you work.

My conclusion from the Google results is that the items in the folder affect 
how long it takes for Windows to boot up and frequently used programs to 
launch.
