Is his attachments in the form of a link? If so, what about the command to
list links? I think it is Insert+F7?
Thanks,
Dennis Brown

Most of the time I simply tab over from the subject line. The first thing
you should see is Message. Cursor over and you hit the first attachment.
However, I have a colleague like the one you describe above. I had to
hunt around for his attachments using the JAWS cursor. As I recall, I
went to the bottom of the message and started looking from there, but
there's no quick and easy way to do it. Wish I knew what makes his
messages different.

Kim, I agree with Adrian. I also press the right arrow, arrow up to open,
press enter and I have the attachment. Judith

Thanks for replying, Adrian. But when I shift tab in this instance, rather
than taking me to the attachment area, my cursor goes to the subject line.
If I continue to shift tab I cycle through from, to, sent and the body of
the message itself. I never reach that area where I expect the attachment
is
hiding. I can see that there is an attachment because in the message list
jaws says attachment, and because my colleague tells me he has sent one.
It's a mystery that, I suspect, has something to do with how the sender
attaches the attachment.

Kimber, when I go to an attachment with Outlook 2010, I do one step
differently. Instead of pressing alt after shift-tab, I right-arrow.

Subject: Sometimes I can't get to an attachment in outlook
Hi All,
In my office we use Outlook 2010 as our email client. Sometimes when
colleagues send me attachments I can't get jaws to focus on the
attachment so I can act on it to either save or open or whatever. It
seems the cursor simply doesn't recognize that there's an attachment
present.
Normally, when everything is working, I can open the message then
shift tab to the attachment area, press alt and be placed in the
attachment tab. In the scenario described above, it seems there isn't
even an attachment tab to go to.
Can anyone tell me what's going on?
Thanks,
Kim
