Hi,
Yes, those Tour Buide books are excellent as they give you room rates for
various places to stay as well as info on restaurants.
The Trip Tick is also very good but AAA will probably want to print it for
you fairly close to the trip date as they include detours, speed traps and
such.

Charlie,

Good suggestion - my wife's a member. I didn't know they still did that for
you.

I also found MyWay.com, which seems to be a much easier interface to input
two points and get driving directions.

Dave,

Have you tried triple A for trip planning? They have a trip planning
program for all AAA members. Not only do they lay out the map by sections
you also get advise on hotels/motels, sights, gas stations, restaurants, etc
as part of the trip plan.

John,

Not sure I have had any success with either Google Maps nor Map Quest.
Cracker Barrel? That seems to be a food store of some kind. What is the URL?

Hi Dave:
I have used Google maps though I find Mapquest easier these days.
I have also used the Crackerbarrel site to plan trips from PA to GA moving
from one of their outlets to the next.

I'm planning a road trip. I need a simple web site where I can input a

Map Quest really sucks, and most sites I've visited are overloaded with
advertisements, graphics, and confusing alternatives.

any advice?
