To answer some good questions, the computer is running the latest version
of Windows 95 (I forget the version code). Internet Explorer 4 or above
has not ben installed. The system started with IE3 and has been
upgraded to IE302 as the default browser. The JFW is a fresh
installation of 3.2031 with the HJ supplied script files, beginning
verbosity, and highlighted screen echo.
Recently, I've noticed an additional clue to this video compatibility
problem. When I first bring focus to the desktop using the Tab key, each
movement of the arrow keys causes JFW to say "blank" and nothing else
After pressing Insert+F6 to mimize all apps, JFW says noting
(not even "blank") when navigation is done with the arrow keys. Even
with say-screen echo set to all, no verbal output is produced when the
selection cursor visibly moves among items on the desktop.
