I have been trying to do the exact same thing as you. So far I have failed
unless I make a file in Word and then copy each address individually to the
clipboard and paste it into the Word document. It is a long and tedious
process. I think the designers of the browser programs do not want their
mail folders to have the ability to be transferred to another site in a
whole hearted fashion. This is done to keep us and others program
dependent. That is make it very difficult to change from one browser to
another.
I have spent hours trying to transfer in whole my address book and sent
items folder to a floppy disk for safe keeping, but, if it can be done, I
haven't figured it out yet.
If it can be done, I would like to be informed also as to how to do it.
It may save us much time, energy and frustration if we are informed that the
browser is purposefully designed in a way to prevent the whole transfer or
copy of a mail folder to a floppy disk. If that is so, we will stop trying
to do the impossible.
I am using IE and OE in a Windows 95 system.
