Hey all yeeh interested in outlook,
There are some undocumented JFW hotkeys that make importing addresses from
messages into your address book a snap. You can do this from the from, to
and cc fields. I have included a list of these hotkeys and what they do
below. I wonder why the script writers didn't complete the documentation?
Here's how to take an address from the from field. First you must be in a
message window, I.E. select a message from the list and press enter. To
read the address in the from field press alt+1. If you press this key
combination twice rapidly, you can edit the address in the from field. To
grab an address and enter it in to your address book, press alt+1 twice,
then press shift+f10 or the context menu key. In the menu, press enter on
properties, press enter on add to address book, tab through the fields and
make any changes to the name, nickname and so forth, then press enter on OK.
Alternatively from the context menu you can add to contacts, or copy the
address for pasting some place else. As I said, you can grab addresses in
this way from the from, to and cc fields.
If you look in the keyboard manager you will notice several helpful hotkeys,
and there are 10 which aren't documented as to what they do. With
experimentation and a look at the outlook script file I believe I have
ascertained what these key combinations do. But I blew it previously in a
post concerning the rules wizard and the space bar, thank you Jeff for
pointing this out, so please let me know if I have made any errors.
