Hi,
I think what HJ means by laptop installation, is that you do a custom
installation of JFW instead of the standard installation, which allows you
to specify more options. One of those options is that you want to use a
laptop. I think really all this does though, is to tell jaws to use the
laptop keyboard layout (which is the keys like alt comma) by default. I
*think* the laptop keyboard is copied to the hard drive whether you
specify that you want to use JFW on a laptop during installation or not
(but I am not 100% sure).
First I would try just changing the keyboard layout in the copy of JFW you
already have installed, before thinking about re installing JFW. I
unfortunately can not remember the exact name of the menu items, and I do
not have JFW at home. Pull down the first menu in JFW, and there is an
option there to select your keyboard type (desktop, or laptop, which is
what you want).
