I think you are right. When you used to go through the custom install, you
use to get the option for keyboard layout. Now you have to go to the jaws
window with insert + J. and unde the file menu, go to the keyboard sub menu
and hit enter on laptop keys. You will find though that some Scripps are
not exactly laptop sensitive but there are some work arounds. I have been
providing some feed back about this to the scrip writer about this and how
they have default Scripps that are laptop useable. I haven't installed them
yet, but from what I understand, that is the intention of these new Scripps.
Some of the keystrokes assigned to the Scripps for specific applications
have to be reassigned with the keyboard manager. Some of these changes may
have to be done manually. Or at least that is what I thought. Others on
this list might be better help about this than I. The new Scripps for every
