cathy while i am not the best person to ask this, a o l really does not have
more info, it may have the info in a format that is easier to read for most.
by most i mean sighted people.
now on the part of a o l, they are improveing their speech access, and version
4 of a o l is more speech friendly.
if you have been reading the post on irc 99, it is more speechfriendly and a
o l owns that program now.
also soon eudora the most popular e mail program shall also be available in a
o l soon.
so thumbs up to a o l on improvement.
now another reason people like a o l is they can limit access to their kids
with a o l.
a o l does have draw backs, internet explorer in a o l is not as powerful as
the version released for direct internet access that one gets with a i s p.
many blind people prefer i e over netscape, includeing me, of course this often
changes with the next release of a version.
direct access does offer one full access to both browser.
now cathy you can save a lot of money buy getting rid of a o l, and then
subscribe to a o l service through your i s p.
a o l charges 10 dollars to access their service if you already have a
provider.
