Hi Cathy,
Your DECTalk Express should be around for a number of years, the
internal DECTalk Pc has a limited life spand. That is basically what
I am saying. If you never upgrade your hardware or software, then you
can buy what you like now and it will always work with the current
software and hardware you are using. If what I have forecasted about
ISA slot becomes true and you upgrade your computer or software, the
DECTAlk Pc card will more than likely not work.
So it all boils down to what you are going to buy now in a computer.
If you purchase a very fast computer like a P2 350 and that computer
has an Isa slot, then you can buy a internal synth, but beware that NT
at this point of time will not work with that internal synth. If you
relaly want to buy an hardware synth, I would suggest that you
purchase an external one.
