i also bought my keynote multi media from g w micro, but i bought access 32
from hj.
the keynote is easier to install, it does have its own key, same system that hj
uses, the ever lock key.
i posted to this list that i was dissapointed with hj that the access 32 from
hj was not as easy to install as the software synth provided by hj for free.
in fact i hope hj will make installing the access 32 as easy as eloquence, in
fact i hope it shall reside on the c d rom.
access 32 would not be at risk of being stolen if on the cd rom, because your
key must be approved for it to work.
such a move would also make it easier to use out of the box.
pros and cons.
buying from hj means that the voice will not work with a blind o c r package.
that is a major con for people that prefer o c r specially for the blind.
another con is that it will not work with other screen readers, so if you own
2 your out of luck.
on the pro side i can say i like the fact that hj is pretty fair about
replacement of the keydisk if for some reason the disk was to get corrupted.
not saying that the other disk may not offer the same option.
i can say that i own 2 key disk from hj because one is for win 3.1 and the
other key disk is for win 95 and n t.
so the hj choice maid it more flexible for me.
of course to enjoy that option i had to pay for the n t upgrade.
if hj does install access 32 on cd rom it would be a real good reason to buy
access 32 from them.
lets hope this is in the works.
