Regrettably, I have to say that HJ makes it very clear that the
authorization floppy cannot be copied even for archiving, since the copy
won't work. I have told HJ personally that I consider this an
unreasonable hardship on the legitimate paid-up user, since floppies
obviously can go bad at the drop of a hat, so to speak. I have seen bad
sectors come out of the woodwork on relatively new floppies. I do have
an idea, but I'll not mention it here because I've not had a chance to
check it out...Seriously, I doubt it will work anyway, since
copy-protected floppies such as your authorization disk often have
intentional bad sectors to keep copying utilities from doing their job.
Ultimately, I wish HJ would drop this arcane method of self-protection
in favor of the Microsoft method, in which you get a unique CD key with
your purchase, and you must enter it every time you install from the CD.
