I agree with you. in addition, it has been
my experience, however limited, that there are several
functions available on DOS/UNIX that are not yet available on Windows.
If these functions are available with Windows, there is
much stumbling about to accomplish what could be done in a more direct
method on UNIX/DOS.
DOS is still sluggish. I think I will next consult with the computer
manufactuer as I seem to remeber this happening
on an older system and it had something to do with the BIOS
setup.
