I have been using the exact same Gateway (Solo 9100, Trident Cyber 9397 vid
card). It has done everything I have asked of it. I can label Task Tray
icons and the labels stick. I haven't tried Jawbone yet, so can't comment.
My settings may be a bit strange, but everything works fine as far as I can
tell:
256 colors
1024 by 768
Screen Area 100%
Hardware Acceleration 100%
