reguarding drwatson, though I'm not sure it's enough for a set of faq
questions on. The program is started from the run menu, you type in drwatson
and hit enter. And apparently, nothing happens. Or at least that was my
thought, I didn't see any active programs, and nothing new appeared to be
started. So, then I loaded up another screen reader and did a control alt
delete and found out that yes drwatson was indeed running. UPon further
investigation, now with jfw running I found you can access it in one of the two
following ways: first, you will need Jo's new default scripts for 3.2 that
will read apps in the system tray. Secondly, you can bring the mouse pointer
two locations to the left of the clock, and hit the context key, that is, the
key to the left of the right control key on a 104 key keyboard.
Drwatson
was indeed in that little context menu, with an options and an exit. When you
go in, you see a diagnostics tab, which shows any programs that altered system
files. In my case, having just loaded jfw it said that osm16.dll which we've
been hearing so much about lately on the list, had altered system files.
Unfortunately, that was all I could get out of it, just the name of the program
and the fact that it had altered system files. Hope this is semihelpful.
Let me
know if there's anything else you'd like me to work on. And just out of
curiousity, approximately, when is this new faq being posted? Thanks. Dave.
