Renaming the Actors folder means that if you have a sighted person with
whom you share the computer, a fundamental Windows function that they may
want is now gone, so you need to be careful. Also, I don't like doing
this kind of thing on a system at work because my employment as a
contractor tends to be short-term and when I leave, I may forget to reset
it.
Without sighted assistance or the JAWS Insert+Control+F4 function, there
is no way to easily get rid of the Office Assistant if you don't rename
the directory or, at least, the one file. The problem is that the critter
has a spot on it that you must click on in order to remove it and that
spot isn't accessible without sight.
