Hello;
Thanks to Gator and Michael Barber tweaking my memory I believe I have
found the solution to making Ruby work with JFW key strokes. Try this:
1 reinstall Ruby and choose "no synthesizer".
2 From any application press insert + 6 on the keyboard to open the
configuration manager.
3 Press control + O
4 Shift + tab once.
5 Press O, This should take you to the file OBU.JCF.
6 If you don't land on that file arrow down to it.
7 Press enter to open the file.
8 Press alt + S then A. That should put you in the advanced options of the
settings menu.
9 Press the space bar to uncheck the box that says "sleep mode enabled"
10 Press enter to choose OK
11 Press control + S to save the file.
You can now run Ruby like any other application with two exceptions. The
space bar still acts as the scan key and the enter key on the number pad
doesn't appear to do anything. Perhaps a little scripting will solve that
also.
I don't know what the ruby.jcf file does. Changing the settings in that
file did not appear to change anything. When I was in ruby I pressed the
insert +Q and was informed that the application in use was OBU.EXE.
I hope others can build on this.
