So, russell, did you try loading Word without JAWS and did you get the same
error?
It seems to me that the answer given you by Tech Support was quite proper.
I might also suggest the following:  Someplace under your Windows directory,
there should be a file called Faultlog.txt.  What I would do if I were you
is to find that file, pull it up and find that particular error.  Then, I
would highlight all the text associated with that error, copy it to the
clipboard (Ctrl-C) and then go to the Microsoft support site and query the
knowledge base about that error message and see what they say.  You would,
of course, paste it into the query in their form and then send it.
