This does of course work but Tab should still go to the address bar in my
opinion. For many it provides a known landmark when tabbing around a web
page. And as I said it is a feature in IE. The last thing I personally
want my screen reader to do is take away functions of the application.
If I don't want Tab to take me to the address bar I'll turn it off, the
display of the address bar that is, from the view menu. I'd prefer that HJ
not stop me from tabbing to it.
I haven't downloaded the new release candidate on the computer I'm working
on today but would be curious to know if the action of ctrl-tab has been
impacted by this change. That, on a page with no frames, should also
return you to the address bar. On a page with frames it will also take you
to the address bar but will first jump from frame to frame.
