Hi, I've not been able to reproduce the problem of JFW skipping any numbers. I can see where someone might get confused on certain fractions ending in zero and that's why I teach people how to change JFW number processing and to double check a character at a time if they are doing something that knowing a number is critical. Did you check the numbers you believd were being read in correctly a character at a time? Take the figure 80 3/8, that's the digit eight, than the digit zero, then a space, then the digit 3, than a slash and finally the final digit eight. This reads as eighty three slash eight and on the surface can sound like the number is actually eighty three, not eighty if one's not paying attention. However, one must remember that a fraction has both a numerator and a denominator so it is impossible to have a number with those digits which is anything but eight0 and a fraction. I say this because if the number were eighty three, than all you'd have left is the slash eight and that's not much of a number. Again I say when reading fast I can see how folks might get confused. Perhaps JFW could develop an option where fractions were spoken with the word "and" between the whole number and the fraction where they typically are in broadcast of fractions. However, this is a far different thing than saying JFW is doing something wrong with fractions all over the internet. It is one of the situations that people should be aware of when using speech. It is not a JFW-specific thing, but rather can happen with any screen reading package unless something has been done to deal specifically with fractions. Personally I know what I'm hearing and if I have a question I double check a character at a time. I repeat that I can not reproduce JFW actually telling me something different from what's present on the screen or skipping numbers.
