Dear Anandita, I think your reference to the European and Foregners' findings based on their cultural perception does not apply to our conditions and social, cultural backgrounds. Hence such messages with kind of warnings like 'So beware seniors, behave yourselves! Read on.....................' are unwarranted. I request you to please explain your case if you have some formal or informal observation on this issue and where were the seniors wrong. I think that will benefit us more than giving warnings in e-mails like this.
I saw your reply in which you mentioned that 'We have seen it here in Jharkhand Group also- seniors spewing unnecessary venom towards others, other faiths and other customs.' This is not a convincing reply. I expect you to tell the group by quoting each of the msg with emphasis where Seniors were spewing unnecessary venoms ......just because of seniority of age and not for a good reason or logic. I, for one, do not know the age of the group members and in my view no body, not many of us worry about that. You have quoted a study report of a foreigner for his own country or his Environment. I do not agree on this. In case you are serious about it please cite the cases as requested above.
