Dear Fr Nithiya Sagayam Thank you for your mature, calm and wise response to Manoj Padhi's immature and childish swipe on a religion followed by over a billion people in the world. People who do not know how to respect the feelings of others are a major cause for all this upheaval taking place in the world today - irrespective of whichever religion they belong to. In a mature, educated and balanced society you would hardly find a single person who would not be abhored by the acts of terrorism that are taking place in the world today. But the difference between those who have had a good upbringing and enlightening education and those who simply have been to college or university and call themselves educated is that those of the first kind will never make every person belonging to one religion or one nation responsible for the acts of few misguided people whereas the second type do not have the intellect to appreciate this basic fact and would jump on the bandwagon to tarnish the image of every one belonging to a particular religion,sect or nation to satisfy their own communal hatred and sadistic feelings. Like yourself, I too am totally appalled at Mr Padhi's sick joke and I hope that many more people would write to you supporting your moral stand that you have taken against this immature, unwarranted and sick joke. When would we learn to live in peace and harmony with each other rather than harbouring feelings of hatred and enmity towards each other.
