I think this is pretty standard procedure for new products from the SlimDevices part of Logitech, the Controller beta testing was done by a lot of users while I think the Receiver beta testing is done by a bit fewer users. If you like to participate in beta testing I think the best way is to keep posting your opinions about the Logitech products and software in the forum and contribute to the developing by helping to find bugs, verify bugs or even provide patches that solves bugs.
