Of course. But there are some difficulties to handle the Japanese character. There are the 3 popular character sets in Japanese language, UNICODE, EUC and Shift-JIS. EUC and Shift-JIS are double-byte character sets. In Jmol, we can consider only UNICODE because Jmol is written in Java.
